Process
The Chamber Business of the Month Shall be chosen based upon a particular business meeting one or several of the following criteria in the past 60 days:
- Made a financial, service, and/or philanthropic contribution that has had a positive impact on the East Orlando community
- Hosted or contributed to an event in East Orlando
- Generated new business that contributes to an improved business climate in East Orlando
- Created a service that has a positive effect on residents of East Orlando
- Made other special contributions to the community
Selecting a Chamber Business of the Month:
- Nominations are accepted by and decided by the East Orlando Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors
- The top three nominations for Chamber Business of the Month are presented for a vote to the general membership at the monthly luncheon
- Chamber Business of the Month is announced at the following luncheon
Recognition
Chamber Business of the Month receives :
- Recognition as Chamber Business of the Month at the Monthly Membership Luncheon
- A plaque or certificate awarded by the Chamber
- Recognition in the weekly Chamber e-newsletter, The Source and The East Orlando Sun.
**Any business which falls within the said boundaries as identified by the Chamber shall be eligible to be nominated for Chamber Business of the Month**
