Adopted School Program
Each school year the East Orlando Chamber of Commerce's Education Committee adopts an Orange County Public School within East Orlando. Throughout the year, Chamber members make a concerted effort to have a positive and lasting impact on the students and teachers at the adopted school.
For the 2007-07 school year, the Chamber has adopted Englewood Elementary School. The school serves 450 students, of which 90% are of Hispanic origin. It is a Title I school and provides free or reduced priced lunches to 88% of the student population.
