Held every October, East Orlando Celebrates Education Day presented by Bright House Networks is a fun-filled, festival that supports education in our community by showcasing students' talents, academic abilities and activities.

Dance teams, cheer squads, step teams, bands, drama troupes, chorus groups and others perform throughout the day for more than 1,000 attendees. Students compete for prizes in Math, Spelling, Geography, Science and Writing. Organizations also display artwork, lead interactive exhibits and fund raise to support their activities.

In addition to the student showcase, the business community also participates in an expo to display the wide array of family-oriented business and services available in East Orlando. Bounce houses, face painters and other attractions round out this family-friendly festival that has become an east Orlando tradition.
